NOTE: Arachidonic acid (5 μg/mL) was added to down-regulated PC-3 cells. Cells (1 × 106) were seeded in each well. Three hours before addition of arachidonic acid, 25 μmol/L of flurbiprofen or 25 μmol/L of indomethacin were added to the cells. At 5 minutes after addition of arachidonic acid, medium was collected and PGE2 enzyme immunoassay was done (n = 3).
Abbreviations: AA, arachidonic acid; F, flurbiprofen; Indo, indomethacin.
P < 0.05 against control samples.
P < 0.01 against arachidonic acid samples with two-tailed Student's t test.
