Q: What is your primary area of study/research?
A: Immuno-oncology and biology of myeloid cells in multiple myeloma.

Q: What influenced your decision to embark on a research career?
A: I was always curious about mechanisms regulating hematopoiesis and function of immune cells in cancer. Research provides us with a unique opportunity to embark on a discovery of the unknown and it is incredibly gratifying to acquire new knowledge that could lead to the development of new treatments that can help people.

Q; What excites you most about your research area?
A: It is fascinating to get to understand how the immune system regulates tumor progression and to develop new approaches to harness the immune system for fighting cancer.

Q: What do you do for fun outside of work? What are your passions and hobbies?
A: I like to travel with my daughter to piano competitions and performances. I also like to grow plants and flowers.
