Journal Club:
Cancer Immunology Research with Dr. Kwok-Kin Wong
Moderated by: Karen Honey, PhD
Cancer Immunology Research Senior Associate Editor
Recorded: 12/6/2021
Watch the recording of the AACR Journal Club session featuring Dr. Kwok-Kin Wong, discussing his article recently published in Cancer Immunology Research, "Targeting the Atf7ip–Setdb1 Complex Augments Antitumor Immunity by Boosting Tumor Immunogenicity." In the paper, Dr. Wong and his colleagues use a CRISPR-based suppressor screen to identify epigenetic regulators of tumor antigen expression and presentation, finding a key role for the multifunctional nuclear protein Atf7ip and its interacting partner Setdb1. Genetic deficiency in these epigenetic regulators enhances antitumor immunity, suggesting a new immunotherapeutic strategy for overcoming tumor immune evasion.
Stay tuned for the Q&A session at the end of the recording.
