Journal Club: Cancer Discovery with Dr. Matthew Meyerson
Moderated by: Robert Kruger, PhD
Cancer Discovery Senior Executive Editor
Recorded: 3/30/2021
Watch the recording of the AACR Journal Club session featuring Matthew Meyerson, MD, PhD, discussing his article published in Cancer Discovery, "Genetic Ancestry Contributes to Somatic Mutations in Lung Cancers from Admixed Latin American Populations." The frequency of somatic EGFR and KRAS mutations in lung cancer varies by ethnicity but we do not understand why. This study in Latin American populations indicates that the variation is associated with Native American ancestry and suggests further studies to identify germline alleles that underpin this link.
Stay tuned for the Q&A session at the end of the recording.
