Q: What is your primary area of study/research?
A: Cancer, tumor microenvironment, stroma, cancer-associated fibroblasts, oxidative stress, and metabolism.
Q: What influenced your decision to embark on a research career?
A: My main motivation was and is still: "To better understand in order to better cure."
Q; What excites you most about your research area?
A: To perform interdisciplinary research and to interact with all members of my lab, including clinicians, biologists, and bioinformaticians. This allows us to combine multi- and interdisciplinarities to establish key findings in cancer.
Q: What do you do for fun outside of work? What are your passions and hobbies?
A: To walk by the sea, to hike, and to read.
