In the original version of this article (1), Figs. 3–5 contain duplicated Histone H3, α-Tubulin, and GAPDH control blots. An institutional investigation concluded that these duplications were the result of carelessness, that no research misconduct took place, and that the scientific conclusion of the identified figures was not significantly altered. The authors regret these errors and have corrected those figures for which they could provide the original data. These errors have been corrected in the latest online HTML and PDF versions of the article. Original data were not available for the Histone H3 and α-Tubulin purification control blots for SUM159 in Fig. 3A and the GAPDH purification control blots in Fig. 4A, so those figures are unchanged.
