The cover shows intravital imaging of living mouse brain (courtesy of S. Rivest and P. Préfontaine, Laval University) 5 days after intravenous administration of an LRP-1 binding peptide, Angiopep-2 that has been conjugated with a fluorescent tag that appears green. The imaging shows significant extravascular accumulation of the peptide in the brain meninges (top) and parenchyma, demonstrating its passage across the blood-brain and blood-CSF barriers.
