The cover shows the deep surface of a head and neck tumor specimen. At 2 days prior to surgery, the patient underwent systemic infusion of panitumumab-IRDye800 bioconjugate that will display fluorescence when excited in the near-infrared range. The deep surface of the specimen is positioned facing the camera, so that the tumor regions that are closest to the surface display the highest fluorescence intensities. The highest region of fluorescence is referred to as the “sentinel margin.” For details, see the article by van Keulen and colleagues on page 4656 of the issue.
