Lagging chromosomes are the primary mechanism of chromosome mis-segregation in human cells. Bakhoum and colleagues investigate the role of chromosome mis-segregation in tumor prognosis in patients diagnosed with diffuse large B-cell lymphoma. The cover shows normal chromosome mis-segregation (bottom) and an anaphase spindle containing two lagging chromosomes.
