Human glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) and control brain specimens were analyzed for expression of Protein Inhibitor of Activated STATs (PIAS)-3, a negative regulator of STAT-3. PIAS3 expression was largely absent in GBM tissue compared with control tissue. For further details, please see Brantley and coworkers on page 4694 in this issue.
