This article (1) has been retracted at the request of the authors. The published article includes comparisons with routine two-dose vaccination that should be disregarded. One of the assumptions regarding routine two-dose vaccination, the baseline comparator scenario, was different than what was indicated in the article methods. Because of this difference, the conclusions regarding the relative health gains and cost-effectiveness of one-dose HPV vaccination campaigns are not as substantial or robust when compared with routine two-dose vaccination. The authors apologize to the scientific community and deeply regret any inconveniences or challenges resulting from the publication and subsequent retraction of this article.
