We would like to clarify the first sentence in our Introduction (p. 906). The changed text is in italics.
“With an estimated 130,200 cases of colorectal cancer and 56,300 deaths from this disease in 2000 (1), colorectal cancer is the third most common cause of cancer mortality in men after lung and prostate cancer, and in women after lung and breast cancer, but is the second most common cause of cancer mortality in both sexes combined (1).”
