FDA Announces Cancer Outreach Initiative Free

The FDA’s Oncology Center of Excellence (OCE) has launched Project Interface, an initiative aimed at connecting patients with cancer, patient advocates, and oncology experts. According to the FDA webpage announcing the initiative, Project Interface will “coordinate listening sessions and meetings for patient advocates and stakeholders to engage with OCE staff about cancer-related topics” and support the White House Faith Office’s goal to “empower faith-based entities, community organizations, and houses of worship to better serve families and communities through cancer-related engagement.” The Project Interface team said it welcomes meetings from patient advocacy groups and faith-based and professional organizations to discuss cancer innovation, global collaboration, and prevention strategies. They also plan to “publish plain-language information about cancer-related topics to make this science more accessible to the public.”
