Judge Orders Agencies to Restore Scrubbed Health Data

February 11, 2025
The FDA and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) must restore webpages and data they abruptly deleted last week, according to an order issued today by U.S. District Judge John D. Bates. The agencies removed webpages and databases relating to adolescent health, HIV prevention, contraceptive guidance, and other public health topics to comply with President Trump’s executive order against “promoting gender ideology” and use the term “sex” instead of “gender” in all federal documents. Bates gave the agencies until 11:59 pm tonight to restore the data as they were on January 30, 2025.
