SMYD5 Regulates Translation of Oncogenic Transcripts in Gastric Cancer

Concept: SMYD5 trimethylates lysine 22 of ribosomal protein rpL40 to enhance translation of oncogenic transcripts.
Impact: Combination approaches including targeting of SMYD5 may be effective in gastric cancer.
