Major Finding: HER2+ breast tumor cells release N-acetylaspartate (NAA) to inhibit immunological synapse formation.

Concept: NAA protects neurons from inflammatory injury and can be secreted by tumor cells to evade antitumor immunity.

Impact: This study proposes the potential of targeting the NAA synthetase NAT8L as a therapeutic strategy.
