Targeting DCAF5 Rescues SWI/SNF Function in SMARCB1-Mutant Rhabdoid Tumors Available to Purchase

Major Finding: In SMARCB1-mutant tumors, DCAF5 degrades partially assembled SWI/SNF complexes, thus inactivating them.  

Concept: Targeting DCAF5 in SMARCB1-deficient cells rescues substantial function of SWI/SNF complexes. 

Impact: This study shows that targeting DCAF could rescue the effects of loss of SMARCB1 and reverse the cancer state.
