T-cell Engineering Leverages Cancer Evolution to Fight Tumors

February 7, 2024

Abstract: The integration of a gene fusion, identified in a case of T-cell lymphoma, into chimeric antigen receptor (CAR)– and T-cell receptor (TCR)–equipped T cells, improves their longevity and anticancer performance. However, the use of this mutation, recognized for its oncogenic capacity in the patient from whom it was first found, necessitates careful safety considerations, researchers say.
