Autotaxin Signaling Suppresses Eosinophils to Promote Pancreatic Cancer

Major Finding: Pancreatic tumor cell–derived autotaxin (ATX) signaling reduces intratumoral eosinophil accumulation.

Concept: ATX signaling suppresses CCL11 expression and secretion by disrupting the AP-1 transcription factor, c-Jun.

Impact: These results reveal the immunomodulatory potential of ATX, which could be therapeutically targeted.
