Tumors Reprogram Neutrophils to Promote Angiogenesis and Survival
January 25, 2024
Major Finding: Upon tumor entry, neutrophils are reprogrammed to increase tumor vascularization and survival.
Concept: Neutrophils of the T3 state migrate to necrotic tumor regions to promote glycolysis, angiogenesis, and survival.
Impact: Targeting deterministic neutrophil reprogramming within tumors may increase the efficacy of immunotherapies.
