IL17-Mediated Gut Dysbiosis Promotes the Growth of Distant Tumors

January 18, 2024

Major Finding: Disruption of IL17 signaling induces intestinal microbial dysbiosis that promotes remote tumor growth.

Concept: Microbial dysbiosis-induced Th17 and B cells synthesize and distribute IL17 to distant tumors.

Impact: These results show that inhibition of IL17-IL17RA signaling could abrogate systemic antitumor effects.
