A Subset of Myofibroblasts Promote Metastasis of Pancreatic Cancer Available to Purchase

January 11, 2024

Major Finding: A subset of cancer-associated myofibroblasts in pancreatic cancer are pro-metastatic and are activated by EGFR.

Concept: Autocrine TGF-β–mediated EGFR activation induces a subset of pro-metastatic myofibroblasts in PDAC.

Impact: Inhibition of EGFR signaling cascades depletes myofibroblasts and has therapeutic promise in PDAC.
