A novel screen that allows the quantification of chromosome loss of human artificial chromosomes identified inhibitors of telomerase function that induce a high rate of aneuploidy. Using immunofluorescence, the authors characterized the defects in mitosis induced by the telomerase inhibitors. These include chromatin bridges and ultrafine bridges.
