Targeting the Tumor Microenvironment
Cancer therapy has evolved beyond solely targeting cancer cells and now considers the tumor microenvironment (TME) as well. The cellular and acellular components that comprise the TME can have a substantial impact on tumor progression and response to therapy. This collection features a sampling of recent studies published in Cancer Research that provide new insights into how the TME can impact therapeutic resistance, as well as strategies to reprogram the TME to combat cancer.
