This workshop was held at the International Agency for Research on Cancer, Lyon, France, February 15 to 17, 1984. It was organized by the International Agency for Research on Cancer in collaboration with the National Cancer Institute, NIH, Bethesda, MD, and Environmental Protection Agency, Research Triangle Park, NC, and was partly sponsored by the National Cancer Institute. The organizers of the Workshop were H. Yamasaki (International Agency for Research on Cancer) and T. Kakunaga (National Cancer Institute); J. Little (Harvard University School of Public Health, Boston, MA) and Kakunaga acted as Chairpersons; Little, Kakunaga, and L. M.
