Summary
A series of 16 benign human ovarian neoplasms of either stromal or epithelial origin, with one exception, showed transfer RNA methylase specific activity and tRNA-methylating capacity comparable to that of normal ovarian tissue and not to malignant ovarian tumor tissue. The exception was an arrhenoblastoma, a rare masculinizing type of tumor which, although classified as benign, is known to have a very high potential for developing malignant characteristics if not immediately removed surgically.
