Summary
A marked increase of the serum sialic acid was observed in the course of the development of the transplanted dbrB mammary adenocarcinoma in DBA/1 female mice. A slight initial rise in serum sialic acid occurred before the tumors became palpable.
Only a slight increase of the serum sialic acid level was observed in C3H mice with spontaneous mammary tumors.
