The editors are publishing this note to alert readers to concerns about this article (1). In discussion with the journal office, the authors confirmed that the first three bands in the Western blot image included as the c-Myc lane in Figure 2E were vertically flipped and incorrectly reused as the c-Myc lane in Fig. 4B. The authors also confirmed that the same images were used to represent the controls in Figs. 2A and 6B, stating that the duplicate images were from the same experiment under the same experimental conditions, but were placed in different locations in the article for clearer presentation. While these matters are being investigated, this note will remain in place to alert our readership that the presented data may not be reliable.
