Correction: Belly Fat Weakens Immune Fitness

In Fig. 1 in the original version of this article (1), the relationship between LPA, PGE₂, and IFNα/β was described incorrectly. LPA should be inducing PGE₂, and PGE₂ should be suppressing IFNα/β. The legend should read: Cancer cells produce autotaxin (ATX) that induces lysophosphatidic acid (LPA) to induce dendritic cell (DC) prostaglandin E (PGE) 2. PGE₂ suppresses DC's production of type I IFNα/β that improve DC function in an autocrine fashion and activate and attract antitumor immune cells including CTLs and natural killer (NK) cells. LPA can also suppress CTL functions directly. Figure 1 and its legend have been corrected in the latest online HTML and PDF versions of the article. The authors regret the error.
