Abstract
Cancer statistics from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the NCI show a sharp drop in cancer incidence in 2020, which likely reflects pandemic-related disruptions rather than a true decline. Experts suspect that delays in screenings and diagnoses will result in more late-stage diagnoses and deaths from cancer in the coming years, particularly among certain populations with the largest declines in incidence.
