AACR Journals 2016 Year in Review

Recognizing the Scientific Publishing Centennial
2016 marked the 100th Anniversary of the AACR publishing program. In honor of this incredible milestone, the AACR hosted a number of activities during the 2016 Annual Meeting to honor the past, present, and future of excellence in the field, including a compelling walk-through exhibit featuring milestones from the history of the AACR journals, important contributors, and highly cited and historical classic articles.
Cancer Research Celebrated 75 Years of Publication
In 2016, the AACR commemorated the 75th anniversary of Cancer Research, the world's first English-language cancer journal. The yearlong celebration honored the editors, authors, and researchers who contributed to the Journal’s success. Cancer Research featured commentaries on historic and impactful articles from the journal's 75 years of publication. The anniversary was also celebrated at the AACR 2016 Annual Meeting.
Honoring the Best of the AACR journals
The Best of the AACR Journals highlights the outstanding contributions that our authors make to cancer research. This collection features the research and review articles published in 2014 that garnered the greatest number of citations from the time of publication through January 2016. These highly influential articles are instrumental to the continued success of our journals program.
